2015 Plus 4. The rear panel that covers the tools, there are 2 brackets at the rear. Just got the car so still exploring. Removed the ply cover, I thought that the cover would have slid under these brackets, but then the cover overlaps at the front. Putting it so that it fits, ie on top, it rattles and bangs, have put a piece of foam in which may make it quieter. So which is the correct way? Cheers David

Under the brackets and pushed in . It's a tight fit.

As suggested the tool tray cover definately fits under the ally locating lugs. There is however a central rear fixing screw for the tool tray itself which necessarily is screwed in at a shallow angle, as there is no access directly above, leaving the head proud. Although a custom tool tray, you can see the screw head I refer to here, central back. This will snag on the underside of lid, but a groove filed into underneath of same will ease the clearance allowing lid to be slid back enough to drop into position.

Just chamfer the top edges of the ply cover where it meets the brackets. Then it will slide just a bit further back.

Hi to Richard Wood,
I'm very interested in the "toolbox" you have made. Do have a drawing with the mesurements available?

Hi Anthony, yes I do have a tool tray drawing for my 5 link rear end Roadster, but probably no use for leaf sprung models.
Happy to send the drawing though to give you an idea of the design that could be customised to the specific dimensions of your car. Just PM me.

There are differences across time and models. None are big differences, but small changes are needed to make a tool tray fit on any Morgan with leaf springs.
It centres around the rear hoop and damper mountings, and the size of the fuel tank in terms of height, and how far it juts forwards into the rear axle space.

You actually get more storage on the leaf spring models, the 5 link on mine required modifications to each end to give suspension clearance
