saw it at Geneva today. overall feel of quality and i'm sure it'll attract a new audience. however, it won't be for me... i thought it was going to be somewhere between a Plus4 and Plus8 in size, but in reality it's a Plus8, and for me the proportions are all wrong. there's no additional luggage space either, apart from the extra width (i thought there was going to be a new area given the press release and length increase, but i think there's less as the passenger footwell is now much shorter).
Good points: somewhere to put both feet and proper elbow room. i was genuinely interested in a slightly bigger Plus4 with a nice chassis and an I6.

Interesting hearing your thoughts first hand on the new model, I'm really surprised it's near enough the Plus 8 size somehow I had the impression it was smaller.
I expect the engine package will win a lot of hearts.

i'm confused myself. looking at MMC's own site you'd think there's more difference between a 4/4 and a Plus4 than a Plus4 and Plus6. i so wanted to love it and consider it for myself, but in the flesh.... it's a Plus8. i've just looked at wikipedia and Parkers, everyone quotes different widths!

From Morgan Motor Co Data

Length +8 = 4150, +6 = 3890, Roadster = 4010
Width +8 = 1840, +6 = 1746, Roadster = 1720

So, the +6 is shorter than both the Plus 8 and Roadster, narrower than the +8 but wider than the Roadster.

It was launched as the new wide bodied car. This is from Autocar.

"The new CX chassis provides around 20cm more cockpit length to accommodate bigger drivers, allows bigger doors and leaves decent luggage space. The car’s length and width are almost identical to a Plus 8's, but the wheelbase is 18mm longer".

Looking at the pictures online there does appear to be two holdalls comfortably fitted behind the seats, which is twice as much as a Plus8, unless you get the boot conversion from Morgan Park DE, which still only allows for one bag really or ideally the side screens without a sidescreen bag.

I think we need to park them side by side smile

I have quite long legs for my height (Gambalunga means long leg frown ). I put the seat all the way back and found it was too far for comfort and brought it forward 2 clicks. The luggage space behind the seats did not seem all that different to me and they had two Morgan leather overnight bags in there. I suspect there is a fraction more space but not much.

You can't trust the dimensions given for the trads. I dug around to find the truth for my book, where I made that distinction.

From memory the 4010 trad length is with full bumpers (I'll have to look it up).

The width of the Trad varies whether with wires or not, and the 4/4 is almost as wide as the Plus 4 because the widest point is between the wheel spinners, whereas with the Plus 4 and Roadster the width is to the edge of the rear wings, remembering that the rear track is wider than the front.

The Aero Plus 8 dimensions ought to be clear cut, because there are no significant wheel options which would affect width, and no bumpers which would affect length. But the only way to be sure how big the Plus 8 footprint is.....is to measure one.

You mean that because they are hand built they are all different hide
