Reversing and parking is the only thing that still catches me out momentarily and that is because I’ve become too reliant on beeping parking sensors on my daily drivers
I just have to remember to turn my head and concentrate

Drive it lots whilst the roads are empty so you can explore the limits a little.
Keep a few absorbent cloths onboard for mopping up and always park up with it in gear, I had a cable snap on my 4/4 Sport and it rolled back into a good neighbours Merc.
Don't be surprised if you need more frequent pit stops I think your waterworks gets a bit of a workout , I normally have long range tanks but in the Morgan these reduce to 3 hours.
It's worth putting the cover over the car if parked up and leaving it unattended, some rude people help themselves to a sit in photo opportunity sometimes. I haven't experienced this but others on here have.

I don't think anyone has mentioned ground clearance . It is very easy to ground your car ,be careful with sleeping policemen . Clearance is less than 4 inches . You can fit a skid pad supplied by Cain or BHM . Happy Motoring .

I usually go over road humps very slowly - often in 1st gear - and haven't had a problem. I'm probably tempting fate now!...

Here was already written something about the brakes. What I would like to add is that the brakes of the Morgan on dry roads in the city are absolutely effective at about 30 mph because the car is so light. So watch who's behind you. You're standing right now while a 1.8 ton car is still pushing.
Enjoy life with the Morgan!

Don't know whether this just applies to the Roadster but compared with the modern Mini I regularly drive the steering is lower geared. Whilst fairly light particularly after greasing kingpins, there is a reduced self centering action leaving a slight lack of feel. This equates to having to use a good armful to straighten up after pulling out of tight junction. Being used to strong self centering action with an initial understeer feel my Morgan took a little getting used to. It does corner remarkably well and drama free though with very little roll and hasn't caught me out in the dry yet. The way that long bonnet just follows a twisty road staying tight on line always gets me

Wow! Thank you so much to everyone who has replied to my posting. I'm already getting a very good feeling of how strong and supportive the Morgan community is. The advice given above is incredibly useful to me and I'll take on board everyone's comments. I can't wait to get some regular practice in to perfect my Morgan driving skills. Thanks also to the Scottish members for your input re Jockmog etc ..and thanks Max5 for your PM. (Replied) Looking forward to meeting forum members in due course...and if we are able to hook up on a day trip sometime...I'll try my best to keep up! Cheers Mac

On the subject of cloths - visit your local and see if they have any old bar towels (or buy new ones from a brewery shop - they are made to soak up beer so a re great at soaking up drips etc. I even have a couple of Timothy Taylor Landlord ones, the green of which matches my car colour quite well. Next time I`m in Masham I`ll get a couple of Black Sheep ones - more appropriate for me. Do Laphroaig do them - more appropriate for North of the border.
