Kankel, if you have the bluemel wheel fitted you will need a 4 bolt spacer.

The biggest benefit of the spacer is the extra room for your left leg...

I'm also 5'9", pedal box is as far forward as it will go and a 1" spacer behind the steering wheel. This makes a lot of difference especially on longer runs.

at 5'6" what I needed was a 3" cushion to sit on. All I could see was the left wheel and had no perspective on the front of the M3W. Now I have a better line of sight to drive in the middle of the lane.

I used aluminum 1.75 inch square tubing to raise my seats. No need for cushions, and give you some tool storage underneath the seats.

Rodger, we are the same height. Did you think about putting 3” aluminum box tube under the seat or would that seat bottom interfere with the seatback?

If you are using the3” cushion what keeps it from sliding around?

I had not yet thought of just raising the stock seat. The cushion my wife made fits tight and my butt keeps it in place LOL. I also added a seat belt extension, which I would have done anyway just to make it easier to find the latch.

In any case, it does bugger up the design of the seat back

the oem seat back starts heading back and then straightens a bit as it goes up. What happened with the 3" rise was that it basically put me further back, so I needed to adjust the pedals. The pedal adjustment is just a series of bolt holes that you unbolt from underneath, pick up the mounting plate and move it to the next set. I really need to just drill a set of holes about 1/2 in between as now my left leg is really cranked up when driving.

Hopefully, attached is a link to the seat riser I built. It drops into the rails and can be removed without impact to originality. This also allows room for some tools etc under the seat
