Strictly for appearance, and in keeping with the spitfire theme, has anyone put a pair of false machine guns on the bonnet?

How about a Lewis gun on a rollbar. Like the over wing guns on WWI biplanes.

There was a thread a few years ago about a motorcycle exhaust that looked like a gatling gun barrel called tailgunner. It rotates with the exhaust pressure, pretty cool but heavy I suspect. I have not seen one on a Morgan , any out there ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/tailgunnerusahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvIW_4EdB84

Well, that would be entertaining! And counter-rotating to boot!

Had not thought about the rollbar mount, or maybe even between the rool bars, and a Lewis Gun would be appropriate for the period..
I am sure I could get the real deal but a plastic one would draw less flies. There is a local fellow who drives his WW2 jeep that is battle ready and completely authentic around the area with a Browning belt fed air cooled on a pintle mount between the seats. He draws attention, but not as much as another fellow I met that drove a WW2 half track from Montana to a Veterans Day parade in Minnesota with a 57mm anti-tank rifle mounted in the back... he was stopped 6 times by law enforcement who just wanted to look and ask questions. One other compatriate was shooting with us one weekend and he had towed on its own wheels a British 6pdr behind his Chevy Blazer (the large one) from San Francisco 300 miles north to the shooting range, he was stopped once. He had a brake lamp and a trailer license plate hanging on the muzzle brake. All very hilarious that he could do it but he did comment about the lack of tailgators.

Having a machine gun mounted may be a legal requirement in Florida and Texas!
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

Just don't try to drive into Canada with it!
The last time I went north on my HD there were 20 different ways of asking me if I had guns. Decades before, I was asked if I had a note from my children's mother. Finally the border guy said, "You're from Oklahoma and you don't have a gun?"
But yes the thought had crossed my mind as well

Yes, this has been done. There was a photo on Face book a month back. Twin Vickers I believe.
I can remember who posted. But it may be under one of the 3wheeler groups. John.

Also, there was a 3wheeler done up in CCCP colours with a PPSH42 on the back. It looked like I was connected to a compressor.
John.
