I had bought this cover some time ago and did not like it -- it's polished stainless so there is a strong contrast with chrome cylinder heads. Also, I believe the factory plastic piece routes the air much better...

I did the same as kankeL! It just doesn’t look right against the cylinder heads.
The standard covers are supplied bare and the Factory paint them, mine has stood up well so far, no problems.....

I had Bell & Covill paint mine when it was retrofitted.

Still fine after 4 years and 25k miles smile

Gulf gloss black, had the front mudguards done at the same time.

The powder coating was coming off on the edges and there was quite a lot of surface rust under the sealer.

All have been beed blasted, primed, painted and then new sealer applied.

Just need buzzing over with 1200 grade now and a final polish.
