Hi. This might seem a silly question but how do I help Lady HB lose the feeling of being strangled by her seatbelt (no I am not actually strangling her with her seatbelt and this post is my cover story when in front of the beak)?
Where it comes over the back of the seat and then across her, she feels as if it is cutting into her neck excessively. We used a scarf as a temporary solution but still wasn’t ideal. I see it is fed through a rectangular ring of metal so can’t slide it more down the side of the seat before getting to her shoulder.
Is there a simple solution or is the scarf the only practical and safe way to resolve?

On another vein, have been looking at Amazon for a tyre pressure/pump. I’m looking for one that I can simply shove on the tyre, say what pressure I want eg 22 or 24, then the machine does the rest. There are thousands to choose from and I’ve never considered anything like this before. The majority seem to be in the £10-£25 range. Happy to plug into wall socket in the garage. Is this the kind of situation where it is worth paying at the upper end for simplicity/quality or are they all much of a muchness? Any suggestions as to a good make gratefully received!

HB Had the same problem, or rather SWMBO did. Made an extended bracket to move the rectangular ring sideways.  Did it the night before we were going on a long run so never did get round to painting it.

Neat solution Bob. I took mine off and chucked them away, never could see the point of them really - although having said that I have the old arrangement with the loop on top of the wheelarch and the inertia reel down on the front face of the wheelarch.
When they went to the long door configuration there wasn't room any more so they had to put them at the back.

If she's short, try raiseing the seat a couple of inches. A bit serious work on new car. Try some temporary Cushing's to see if works.

I have used a Ring mains powered pump for several years without any problems. It has more guts in it than the battery powered ones, although no good for taking out and about.
I prefer a separate pressure gauge, usually more accurate than the built in ones - something like the Race-X does well in tests.
Have really enjoyed following your new car experiences- long may they continue.

Just need to attend a practical car maintenance/metalwork course first before having a go at that, although it looks like a clever idea 👍🤓. If I tried to do that (even if I had the tools), I would have more bits left over from the car than Morgan actually started with!

Passenger seat stuck solid so will get that fixed in about 3 weeks time. In the meantime I reckon cushions and the strap sheepskin pads look like the quickest and easiest solution at this stage, the latter have now been ordered
