Lucky escape... do you know if the driver was injured?

I have an Aero Racing Roll Bar on Tarka. Yes, it looks good, but having watched the screen pillars being removed and replaced by the chrome ones I realised that the screen is about as much use as an aero screen in a roll over. The high back seats in the Plus 8 and the roll bar together offer more protection that the screen...

But I'm very much aware that it is as much luck as the safety gear that makes the difference.

Do you remember that footballer who comprehensively rolled a lightweight Roadster a few years ago in a celebrity Morgan race? He got away with a grazed helmet top but if he’d not worn a helmet.........😳

The first few bars with the guitar solo. Sorry, I thought you were talking about Beethoven.

Both these examples are from race tracks, and are an excellent illustration of why roll bars are a very good idea - in a competition environment.

For road use, I remain sceptical. But then I don't even have head restraints on my car, so it's clear that my attitude to risk is considerably different to many.
