When the size of the idiots wallet (assuming the car is actually his) is not evenly matched by the level of driving talent available.
At least no-one else was involved - experience shows that innocents get caught up in stuff like this and the moron walks away without so much as a scratch....

What is the nature of these events? I assume anything on the public road is not part of H R Owen's arrangements.

You keep saying no one else is hurt but what about the poor tree?
Just standing minding his own business and thinking about the old days of Hansom cabs when "whack"!

What is the nature of these events? I assume anything on the public road is not part of H R Owen's arrangements. Was it an HR Owen car?

I hope there are some tree huggers nearby to give him a hug. Absolutely, my first thought was for the tree as well. It looked OK, but it may have suffered a bit of post traumatic shock, but it will have plenty of time to get over it, and what a story to tell to all its' siblings in the centuries to come when everything is electric, or maybe there won't be any private transport on the roads at all?

I think driving in this way -like a racer- especially in town, is a crime!
In germany some younger drive had to go in jail. They killed other drive in this way.
The court convicted them both as murder!

I don’t suppose the people driving the other way were too happy seeing that car coming towards them out of control 😳. Not the place to fool around with such cars.
