Hi all, I have now purchased a set of Brake reaction Bars and would like to fit - soon.
I take it you fit the BRB to the suspension (top) first and then align to a position on the frame?
I have had a quick look and the area on the frame looks quite narrow and (to be honest) quiet a thin piece of metal (to drill).
Would someone please guide and advise and/or upload some images.

I had them fitted to my 2005 S1 Roadster and they made a big difference.

Fit to the top of the crosshead first. Just watch the top lube bolt because if the kingpin moves even slightly it can be a pig to restart the thread!

Then once fitted check if the brake hose flex rubs against them on full lock. If hoses are armoured with bradied steel it helps as does further protection with spiral plastic loom tidy.

I have just fitted a set to my new Plus4 --VERY STRANGE, The bar lined up with an already fitted bolt on the chassis ON BOTH SIDES -- imagine that, a morgan absolutely similar on both sides!!! Anyway they went on in just a few minutes with no extra drilling - I was MOST surprised!!!!!

Maybe it was previously fitted with BRBs Robbie?
There's plenty of clearance between bars and tyres on the Roadsters due to wheel offset.
With 4/4 wheels with 185/70s there's no clearance. The sidewall just touches the BRB. So ready for the first MOT, I've modified the bars by nipping them oval and slotting the hole at the lower end of the bars. That's just enough.
It's said that this contact is acceptable for Morgans but I didnt want that issue going forward.
The Plus 4 has A similar wheel offset to the 4/4 so just make sure that there's clearance on full lock. If it touches you'll get a braking effect on full lock as the sidewall touches the bar.
Of course the factory might be predrilling all chassis now!

I had the problem of the tyre rubbing against the BRB ,
The remedy was to fit chassis rollers .

I remember Williams burning out several drill bits trying to drill Nero’s chassis for the bars. Strange as when I drilled the 4/4s I had no problems.

The tyre side walls on my 4/4 rubbed on the BRB's but it still passed the MOT.
The garage that did the MOT is owned by someone who has 3 Morgans so knew what to expect.
