When folded into 4, It fits nicely into the sidescreen bag which in turn, has a home on the luggage rack. . That's what I do if use is not in the immediate future.

I do not use a tensioner. When not in use I connect the ends. I find the tensioner just one more item of complexity and I try hard to keep My Morgans very simple.

Going slightly off track I have a tonneau cover ( how do you pronounce that ? Tony-oo  ) But cant think id ever use it. What why and when would you use one ? In the winter when driving alone to have the TONNEAU covering the passenger side keeps the heat in also security when parked.

Interesting discussion. I guess its just another Morgan foible, and it look's like there are 3 workaround options:-
1) Add zips to facilitate greater manipulation of tonneau material. (Thanks Peter & John for those pictures)
2) Practice the various origami techniques. (Sir Percival - that was a useful link too)
3) Remove tonneau.
Jimmy: I'm glad Madame Fifi helped you on your Morgan journey. I'm sure she would have convinced others too!
Will try some of the suggestions and see how we get on.

[pedant mode] The tonneau is actually the cockpit. The bit of cloth that covers it is the "tonneau cover". English, as you might guess, has inherited the term from the the early days French motoring which in turn was derived from a type of horse drawn carriage that used a half barrel like passenger accomodation. I run with mu tonneau cover all the time and as stated above even in the coldest weather the excellent heater can be angled to keep you warm and a lot of heat is trapped under the cover.  Drove up to Durham passport office yesterday in snow and hail with this arrangement..toast warm in my insulated waterproof suit and full face helmet....just like a 4 wheeled motorbike experience !!!!...wouldn't have it any other way !!!

After reading all comments I guess there is no company who can Change the weak return spring with a better one? 
2005 4/4 1800ccm Duratec and a lot of HONDA CX500.......

Hi Mac,
I too tried all the origami solutions but for consistent ease of use Peter's solution of 2 extra zips is an elegant solution to the problem, since I had them fitted I use the tonneau all the time, it covers the back shelf when in use and keeps the hood tidy. The only problem is that the headrests need to be removed when deploying the tonneau to close the car.
