Hi Noddy,
Apart from 'England' I don't know your location, but I spoke with my tyre supplier in the midlands this morning and he tells me that his wholesaler still lists contis and plenty other 60 profile 15" tyres. Maybe they are ones still left, if production has ceased, but he could get you 16 contis by tomorrow!
Have you tried anywhere else?
(and for the record I didn't mean assymetrical did I, but the word probably should have been 'directional' I think! Irrespective of the word the point should still be considered.)

Plenty of Conti Premium Contact2's about but these are passenger car tyres. Your supplier is probably referring to these.
Best option I can come up with are Yokohama c2's, which are a softer compound than most of the other 6o series tyres. Alternatively to drop down to 55 series Toyo Proxes T1-R's.

When I bought the +4 (since sold) it had T1Rs fitted. Stuck to the road like glue...  Cheers,
