The Dunlop D 404's are a very reasonably priced tires and I use them on my old goldwings. Especially after Dunlop stopped the elite II's.
The 401's wear longer and also come in a WW (I think) I have had them on my HD's
As I mentioned above, the Comp V is discontinued, but on sale at Coker (USA) for $85.... get them before they are gone

I have 11,000 miles on Blockleys and they hardly look worn.

28psi inflation, zero toe in and 1.5 degree negative camber seems to work well.

I am on my second set of Blockleys. The first did 15,000 miles and were not fully worn when I changed them. Like Dab of oppo, I have the Empire suspension kit, set up about the same way. Accurate tracking helps with tyre wear a lot.

Are the Coker Comp H and Comp V tires essentially similar? Great price on the comp V with the higher speed rating.

The whitewalls I saw on Coker were American Classic 475/500Rx19. I might want to "pimp it out".

RCMATT, most tires of 475/500 size require a minimum of a 3" wide rim. Yours is just 2.5" wide.

You could get 18" wheels and that will open up at least fifty other tire lines. Alex Roy did this on the cross country trip and carried two spares. It made swapping out a blown tire easy as there was no fiddling with the fender. It just popped right off!

Is there a speedo sensor off the front wheel?

Yes. It is attached to the inside spindle on the right front wheel. Some sort of magnetic sensor.

Mine failed and I traced it down to the wiring harness at that point. When the car was assembled Morgan zip tied the wires to the struts and the zip tie eventually cut through the wires from vibration and wind. It is totally exposed. I re-soldered the wires, shrink wrapped them individually, wrapped them well with electrical tape, then carefully zip tied them after shaving the hard corner of the tie down to round it out.

OK, change the diameterof the tire will change the speed reading . I know there used to be services that would recalibrate a speedo drive but that was a very long time ago, like 40+ years.
