Spent a nice day down at Rutland Water in 20 degree sunshine and hired a bike to have a short ride round the area.

It looks like some council road marking team has run over my car and I now have my own no parking area !!!

Lovely day with all the trees coming in to bloom

152 miles back home today from Vale of Dean- top down, no coat and suncream. Tiring but jolly good fun with various thumbs up and surreptitious photos taken by passengers as they went past. Then followed by a swift 45 miles around the local villages as I took FIL for his first drive (which he loved). Passed a lovely red Morgan on the back roads with many waves exchanged-even by FIL.
All despite a seized back which hit yesterday (nothing to do with Florence though I have to say). V tired, in pain despite physio trip squeezed in this afternoon, but v v happy Headless Blue, Lady HB and FIL HB. Now up to 1600 miles in 1 month and 3 days. Every minute better than the last and car loosening up nicely🥰

Had a nice run from Rushden up to Llanmynech, tried to avoid motorways as much as possible. After an overnighter, down to Worcester via Montgomery and Ludlow to have a nice lunch with my folks, and then a bimble back to Rushden via motorway to try and save my front wheel bearing which was taking a distinct dislike to corners....

Early start for Southwold on the Suffolk coast, to avoid bank holiday traffic.

Well protected Mog.

Pub at Southwold harbour, sadly to early to be open. Note 1953 high water mark!

The harbour cafe was open though so late breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs eat
Then another traffic free drive home (as everyone going to the coast) and without the sun in my eyes this time drive

Not before buying tonight's evening meal from local fish stall though wink

Great weather here in Felxistowe so a quick blat around before picking up #3 son from Trimley train station.

The BBQ is also out of hibernation for Saturday & will be cooking Sausage shop burgers & sausages.
