True, in The Colonies we might call it a Shade Tree Garage, albeit a good one.

you certainly would not have as much rubber contact with the road.

Rounded tyres like that are designed for leaning when going round corners, some of the more racy bike tyres have a larger contact patch when leaning than when upright.

Rob Pike is the man to ask.

From the passenger seat his 18" Avons gave far more grip and stability than my Blockleys. HIs M3W just went round the track as if on rails

So much so that when I jumped back into my car I only just got around the first corner having calibrated" myself to his speeds

Do the standard mudguards fit with your setup?

I figured as much Chris. IF these things are technically road-legal for a tricycle (and I suspect they are), then this might be my next choice of front tyre I think....

So what you are saying is that the wheels need to be relaxed for radial tires? Different spoke pattern?

I meant to say RELACED, damed autocorrect.

first you relax the old spokes... then...... cheers

No I meant that if you wanted a different size rim they need to be re-laced. I believe the blockley (sp?) 19" tire is a radial.

The picture of the motorcycle tires appear to be dunlops. When you look closely you can see "Harley-davidson" in the sidewall

Nestor,

I'm looking at the wheels and do I see just a bit of rust or corrosion around the nipple areas? Just wondering if they have been trued a couple times and this "possible" corrosion is due to the wrenches and nipple rotation within the wheels?
