If you decide to do it let me know. Tirano is only 100km from here and we sometimes do the circuit from here to Chiavenna, Maloja Pass, San Moritz, Tirano and then home. In fact the only Swiss speeding ticket that I have ever had was on that run

PS. They say "Express" but I think that is a good example of the fact that despite all expectations the Swiss do actually have a sense of humour I was on that train some years ago! It was a great trip and I can really recommend it to all fans of mountains and trains. And I did a very similar tour with the 4/4. Also to be recommended!

As for all the school kids jumping on the bandwagon and taking strike days off from school, maybe they could start closer to home, by stopping littering, and trashing the local environment? Maybe while they have their days off school they could use there time wisely and pick up all their rubbish (including a lot of plastic)?
Hypocrisy is a wonderful thing!
It's those pesky Schrödinger's kids again, simultaneously caring about the environment whilst also trashing it with litter. Please tell me that you don't actually believe that all young people are exactly the same and there is no such thing as different types of behaviour?

The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. Contemporary, or.......?

Yep some Roman or other moaning about young people 1,000 years ago. Old farts have never been able to understand where kids are coming from, but the idea that the young people who are committed to getting something done about saving the planet are exactly the same young people who chuck litter and graffiti about the place is just nonsense, based as it is on a false syllogism. 1. Soem young people care about the planet 2. Some young people discard litter and vandalise their environment 3. They are both young people therefore they must both be responsible Here's another based on the same logic: 1. Drunk drivers kill people in their cars 2. Morgan owners drive cars 3. Therefore all Morgan owners must be drunk drivers
