what is nice is that it is flat glass.... so no distortion, does not scratch and easy to clean

How is it at deflecting the wind blast compared to the full screen that is offered? Assuming you had 2 of these nice glass screens.

They look like the deflectors that have to be fitted to Australian M3Ws under ADR requirements. I doubt whether they do much.

The screens are sealed in with silicon but are also bolted through two tabs on their lower edge, to gain access to these bolts you need to remove the vertical panel at the rear of the under bonnet storage there are approx 20 screws to remove to gain access.

If you are considering fitting brooklands style aero screens ( nice) , I would consider leaving these short Aussie screens fitted as rain deflectors for the water that runs up the bonnet and under the aeros.

Make sure you have clearance all around the hoop once fitted back. The grommet will fill the gap but they must be centred before they are tightened. If they touch the steel hoop can cause galvanic corrosion in the aluminium which you will never get rid of once its in the grain.

They also squeak right next to your ears if they touch, most annoying.

It won’t stop once it is started even if the connection is interrupted?

MOG42 said you'll never get rid of the effect, not that it wouldn't stop if the cause was isolated.

Once the more galvanically reactive metal (in this case aluminium) has formed oxides or hydroxides due to electron loss these products are not just a superficial coating - the characteristic milky discolouration goes into the grain of the metal and needs a proper refurb and not just a surface polish.

I lost too many fancy three-piece rims to this phenomenon in the '90s - now I see my son lusting after exactly the same expensive bling. How come we never learn? banghead

I see, so any frame to body contact would not be good.

How about the other things like mirrors, badges, or anything else non aluminum? Same thing I suspect. I wonder how cars like our MGA with its doors, bonnet and boot being aluminum and the rest steel?

So how does the 3 wheeler deal with the dashboard? Is it aluminum? But they sell as an option engine turned dash panels that are stainless steel. Does stainless steel react to aluminum the same way?
