I need to buy a full set of tyres for my 2000 4/4 which is running 165/80 R15, can anyone recommend any tyres for this size. They are for general road use. Thanks

I fitted Vredstein T Trac-2's to my 4/4. They were great, and a massive improvement on the original fitment Continentals.
Vredstein's sprint classic tyre has a more traditional tread pattern if the aesthetic is important to you.

Toyo Proxes Ian. Used by sprinters, good wet and dry grip...I have used them for years.

Welcome Ian.
Just a quick guide.
4/4 and trad questions will get better traction in the Morgan Sport Cars / Classic Morgan section rather than the Aero section if this helps. More people with similar cars monitor it in general.
If you don't mind the more modern look the Toyos are very good.
If you get a chance do post pictures of your car in the intro so people can give more detailed responses for you.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I have Blockley tyres on my 4/4 sport - VR rated, very low wear rate and good road grip in all weathers and they have the traditional 60/70s tread pattern - and good value £99+vat usually. Look at their website for details - Blockley tyres. If you google just Blockley you will get lots of Father Brown references as that is where it is filmed.

Definitely Vredestein Sprint Classics, a good compromise between the awful Continentals and the ultimate (£250 each) Avon CR6zz's . Pirelli now offer a 165/80 VR15 CN36 pattern for classic Porsches. A previous thread on this subject mentioned possible clearance problems with Blockleys.

Vredestein Sprint Classics are great, much better than the Continentals. +1 I'm on my second set, brilliant tyres.
