I'm hearing feedback that the Friday' Barboursville Winery dinner event is pricey. It includes wines that are their best quality which puts it in perspective. However, we have the option of making this a group lunch event instead on Friday. In that case, the cost is $50-60/head, including a 3-course paired meal. If that is preferred, speak up! Obviously, folks can choose one or the other on their own too.
The type of group socializing we'll be able to do at Skyland Lodge is limited due to its nature as a State Park. So dinner's and libations there will be a bit restrictive.

Lunch would be nice. We are now planning on getting half way there after I get off work on Thursday, so should be arriving mid morning. There is always boxed wine for socializing

Guys - a couple of updates.
1) due to no demand, we've converted the Barboursville Winery dinner on Friday to a leisurely lunch on the veranda. Unless they get reservations in advance, we'll take our chances.
2) The Saturday lunch at IX Park and the Sake distillery is turning into a media event! Turns out, the Park has its own newspaper and has asked to interview and photograph us being there. Since this would happen regardless due to UDF (Unavoidable Delay Factor), I happily agreed. So please all come.
3. Looks to be about 10 rooms booked.

As a 'Meet and Greet' and for some discrete social time in the Skyland Lodge picnic area, everyone please bring a sampling of their favorite, brown-bagged local libation to share! Perhaps a favorite IPA, cool-aid, wine or shine....along with plastic cups.
