Along with a few others from LogMog, SwanMog and TaffMog, spent the long weekend exploring the delights of the IOW. Very impressed with the roads, the countrysides and the many and varied things to see and do. Glorious weather too. This is the hotel car park on Thursday evening,

A few Morgans running Prescott today at the Cleeve Vale Rotary bash. Should have been in mine, but as was booked for early duty it stayed in the garage. Good to catch up with a few today!

From Montlhery up to St Quentin skirting Paris on the N104. 140 miles in chilly sunshine and strongish winds. Into Germany tomorrow. Hope the sun continues to shine.

Two days out over last two weekends. Last weekend 3 of us....Aero S1, Plus8 , M3W started a run in cool weather. Met in Carmarthen, up to Llyn Brianne. Passed several horse drawn carriages headed to a wedding at Aberglasney Gardens. Coffee at the Dam as someone was there with a trailer coffee unit. Needed as the wind was cool. Chatted to some Triumph owners who were there. Headed up around the reservoir ( stunning views) on the Abergwesney road to Tregaron. Light lunch in the Talbot Hotel. Next stage would have been the Cliff Hotel in Gwbert near Cardigan...BUT..... Aero leading, me as tail end Charlie, M3W in middle. 5 miles out of Tregaron the M3W stuttered to a halt. Broken throttle cable. Only done 6k miles from new! It broke at the pedal end.....recovery called and he managed to rig up a hand throttle wire that got us to Lampeter for a trailer to pick the car up. It was lucky it didn’t happen earlier as the mountain road to Tregaron is remote! Great drive though, especially from Beulah as you go up the Devil’s Staircase. Yesterday we took Monty to Oxwich on Gower. Lovely weather and he had a great time in the sea chasing a ball. Walked nearly to Three Cliffs Bay and back. Found a dead Monkfish, Cuttlefish ( body intact, and a starfish. First time I have seen a cuttlefish not just the skeleton bit. Coffee and light lunch in the Hotel. A tip.....use the hotel not the carpark. Hotel is free! I will add a couple of photos of the trips when they arrive.

In excess of 100 miles today, with a new navigator, in the Cleeve Vale Rotary Cotswold Tour. My regular (fellow marshal) nav was supposed to be entered in his MG TD (Richard and I wouldn't have fitted in that!), but I didn't spot him all day. Sally, a friend of mutual friends, was happy to navigate. Her first ride in a Morgan and we had a good day out. Caught up with a few friends and acquaintances throughout the day. Tea and very nice lemon drizzle cake at the Cotswold Hub towards the end of the day and no needed! Graham, we were with Logmog, Taffmog & Swanmog on the Isle of Wight. I guess we did some 500 odd miles in great sunny weather. I hope your new navigator was better than I was. John

Guessed you might have been John. The instructions this year were decent (again) compared to 3 / 4 years ago Guess it will be Morgan to MMC for the next couple of days

Washed & waxed the car after the IoW adventure. So went down to the sea and back in this great sunshine. I enjoyed all the sparkly bits being shiny & sparkly for once.
