I have been literally out in the middle of nowhere, about 10 miles from the last fork in a road that had no signs on it and gave up. I pulled over ( had not seen a vehicle all day) and put my Garmin device on the hood as a table to see where I was; should have taken the other turn at the unnamed fork. We were about 3 hours from our next town and possibly a sign. Even cell phones didn’t work out there! Eastern Oregon near theNevada Utah borders headed northwest. Beautiful area in the springtime and all the flowers were out, and miracle of miracales we finally saw a farm tractor but by then we figured out where we needed to go.
SatNav is the way to go for sure...
