Being new to the world of Morgan I'm still finding out what is available. With my Caterham I used a Half Hood ( from soft bits ) whenever I needed cover from the westher, as it did not require the side screens fitting and I'm a bit of a fresh air freak. Anyone know if something similar is available for the 4/4 ?

You can get bimini covers for the older 9 stud hoods if that is what you mean. You can get zip out rear windows and drive without the side screens also

John- is it feasible with the easy up hood to drive with it up but without sidescreens? Or will it rip the stud fixing off? Thanks HB

HB as John has said a lot of people in hotter climes have a bimini made up, here is a Japanese Plus8 owners version. bimini I've never had an easy up so cannot comment on the speed versus windscreen fixing with the sides off.

Thanks HB I have traveled with friends who did this when it rained and their side screens were stowed beneath a large case - but cannot remember the speeds. I suspect we were below 40mph as it was in the Alps.

HB, Yes I've run with the easy up hood up and no side screens in France and Spain when the sun is too hot without any shade. The top stays intact at speed but is quite noisy, but thats better than sun burn. Cheers John

The hood on my last 2000 4 seater had a great feature where you could zip out the rear which I thought was a great idea

I've seen the bimini covers advertised in the club mag but they are for pre 97 models with 9 x stud fixings. My 80th anivarsary 4/4 has a traditional stud fitted hood but is it the same as a pre 97 fitting ? Anyone know .
