I'm new to the world of Morgan and confused about the Oiling of the running boards.
First, how is it done?
Second, The manual says use 3 in 1, others say use ACF-50.
Any advice would be welcome.

Each to their own, but 3 in 1 is a lot cheaper. It is applied along the edges of all the beading, not just that between running boards and body. Stops squeaks and keeps rot at bay. Just gently run the can along the beads adjacent to the bodywork and leave it to soak in. Note, by next morning, you will find little pools of it below the wings where it runs off so if you have a carpeted garage or nice driveway, you may need to put some protection down first.

I”ve yet to do this, does it not dissolve the waxy under seal as it seeps through?

Factory recommends annually, and also to help prevent underseal drying out around joints where body movements take place. If you use sparingly don’t think it will be an issue. Also, to avoid a black line building up alongside the beading, where dust settles, wipe over next morning with a paper towel wrapped over a credit card, to clean off any excess.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Just bought my 2016 4/4 so no idea if the runners have ever been oiled so I'll do it anyway.

And get some bike spray chain grease and grease the rear springs. It makes a big difference to the ride.

I always use ACF-50 as it is used by the aircraft industry to protect aluminium which is of course what our cars are made of.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

So do I just spray ACF-50 or apply bike spray chain grease on the leaf springs? How often?

On the leaf springs bike spray chain grease. I do it annually & spray the underside with waxoyl bi annually.

That's interesting. So I guess waxoyl has no effect on the underseal. I've used waxoyl on my VWT5 but that is direct onto metal. I'm keen to protect the underside of the car so happy to take all your advice. Thanks again.
