Hi All,
I have suffered around four failures with the car when for no apparent I loose total power to all items other than the radio. Its going to have the isolation switch replaced with the dealer but it seems this has happened on some other Aero 8 derivatives. It is truly scary when it happens on the motorway and I was wondering if anyone else has suffered with this issue?

2013 Coupe so many similarities in platform.

One day not long after we got it I was driving home in the very heavy rain. Lets just say the windscreen seal was not so good. Actually I thought the car had a paddling pool option fitted.

The car performed a reboot. Engine died (at 70mph) lights and dash went dark and came back (dials do the boot up thing) and you lose it for about 15 seconds. It was late night and in a dark country road. Just as well the interior is brown leather. scared

Since the windscreen seal was redone it has not happened again. The interior remains brown. coffee

Glad it gave you a laugh (not meant in a rude manner), at time and shortly afterwards in my discussions with the factory it was a bit more emotional than that. swear frown

- sorry for the laughing emoji Alistair;I do empathise with the feeling of pure fear that must have ensued.

I recently had 'restricted performance' cut in on the motorway in the tiptop (it was the EGR valve) and ,even though the car kept driving, the lack of power when in the outside lane was 'disconcerting' ........ innocent

I did not take it in a rude manner, no fault, no fowl.

If you can't laugh at yourself then there is always someone around who will eh!

I believe the other failures were not on the SS models although it seems no one on this website has ever had one?
Alastair - sounds a very scary experience as well, none of my failures ever happened when it rained though. But the roof does leak even when not in "heavy" rain which is a pretty poor effort on Morgans behalf!

The roof is a challenge for many, new seals and careful adjustment by someone with experience should sort it, assume you may need to do it a few times throughout it's life, especially if you take it off often. If it is any compensation I bought the Coupe thinking it would be water tight given it was a hard top! On the S2 I have replaced the rubbers on the windscreen ends a couple of times as well as the clamps on the hood, this keeps it tight for a good while.

Taffy I would make a guess that your radio has been installed outside the box as an aftermarket? So it is not going through the box and hence does not flip out. Do check there is a good fuse and cabling given that situation.

They have niggles, it would take something really rotten to overcome how much we love them.
