Anyone know the bolt type. I had to replace one a long time ago and my memory is not helping. The S&S manual shows one bolt that bolts into the head. The Morgan manual is no help. If I recall it was a two part bolt that had different threads on both ends. The looser thread went into the head and the finer thread stuck out and the exhaust manifold with the gasket and the nut retainer are held in place by a locking bolt.
What's the dimensions of the manifold bolt and locking nut?
It picked a great time to sheer off. Saturday afternoon and the local auto parts places are closed and will be closed until Tuesday as Monday is a legal holiday...

It's a common 5/16" stud, coarse thread on the head side, fine thread for the nut. I replaced mine with ARP stainless studs (1.625" over all length) and 5/16"F all metal self locking jet nuts which really helps with socket access as they have a reduced hex head. No need for the nut retainer plate when using the jet nuts, which come from the aircraft industry, btw. In the U.S. jet nuts are available from Aircraft Spruce and racing suppliers like Pegasus Racing among others. Photo shows my ARP install before I changed pipe ends.

Good info Bitsobrits. The standars nuts are very close to the manifold and don't have good access.

Hello
I just ordered the studs & bolts. What’s the correct header gasket #? I need to order them from the states if possible
