About 35 miles with Lady HB to the Rutland Belle and back via the Olive Branch for some lovely food. 1 year since my little bro passed away (which led to me getting my the Morgan several years ahead of plan). Thanks bruv but I wish it wasn’t the way. RIP little bro - we miss you. HB

Up to Tallinn for the weekend then a short drive to the docks and ferry to Helsinki. Another 140 miles. But cold wet weather.

Aboyne to Fort Augustus today. Roof down all the way despite a wall of water and hail over the Grampians. We decided just to press on and it was ok!
Another heavy shower around Aviemore, so the Roadster is really grimy now. Too grimy to do a quick clean in fact.

+8Rich Many thanks- he would have loved the Morgan. It is a fitting long term tribute that is providing many happy new memories to go with the old ones 👍 HB

After a very wet and cold month of May I am on a trip to Barcelona for better weather conditions. We use rail transport from Vienna and the ferry from Genua to get to Spain and will visit Montserrat, Zaragosa, Pamplona, Rioja vineyards, Bilbao and San Sebastian. Not sure yet how to will continue but most likely I'll drive the Pyrenean mountains to Andorra with stops at different Paradores. Montpellier, Avignon and the Riviera are on the French part of my plan. Than crossing Northern Italy, Suisse and most of Austria to get back to Vienna area. Thumbs up for a reliable 4/4 and good weather conditions!

Sounds like a great trip Hannes. Being able to put the car on the train for part of the trip is a good way of extending your touring range. Sad to report that in France the Auto-Train service is to be wound up at the end of this year. Apparently it loses about € 6 million a year, yet it always seems to be fully booked up from early on. Maybe they could try upping the price a little... https://www.ouest-france.fr/economie/tra...o-train-6305842
