Been a bit mad this year, getting a new big touring bike and then a couple of weeks ago the Lancia Flaminia convertible.

Was at the Classics and Coffee yesterday with the Series 5 at Classic Motor Hub (the guys that sold my Ferrari) and accidently bought a nice Aston Martin Vanquish.

5 fun cars (especially when 2 are '60's Lancia's) is stretching it a bit so will have to be more active in selling a couple so the Lancia Flavia Vignale Convertible and the Aero S5 will both be down at Richard Thorne Classic Cars for sale this week.

My first V12. Think I might get some more Royal Dutch Shell shares quickly! :-)

You certainly get my vote for the nicest collection of cars other than my dream garage.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

Reminds me of a bloke I knew down in the South West of France.

He went out to buy a baguette, and instead came back with a brand new Jaguar.

His swmbo wasn't at all happy, though I never established whether this was because she didn't like him buying the car, or because he forgot the baguette.

Which year Vanquish did you buy? I had one of the first ones when they came out... beautiful looking things.

I think Aston Martin have lost the visual appeal with their latest models. I do wonder if the last naturally aspirated cars which still have stunning looks are going to become an appreciating classic in time.

Very good. That was a very popular game with Naval Officers of my Dad's vintage; trawling through the good book in search of suitable biblical references for signals.

He put it to good use many years later when our border collie bit the vicar on the backside. It was the Vicar's fault really, as he was on a bicycle, and Maggie hated bicycles.

My Pa told the Reverend that he'd find the relevant passage in the good book at Matthew 5:39. To my Dad's great satisfaction, , the Vicar had to pop home to check the reference.

I disagree. What about this latest design. https://www.motoringresearch.com/car-news/aston-martin-vanquish-vision-geneva-2019/

Mind you what matters is how it goes not how it looks. No one could love the look of a Pagonda for example. Or the GTC4 Lusso.
