I have been under a lifetimes misconception until today that 'Black Velvet' was Guinness & Cider. Obviously grew up in the wrong circles (Low Cost Versions) I thought that was a 'Poor Man's Black Velvet' Frank. A true 'Black Velvet' is stout (usually Guinness) with champagne, served layered in a champagne flute.  Anyway, happy St. Patrick Day to all on TM, especially those with Irish connections!  I hope you all manage to have chance to raise your glasses

Hands up those whe managed to pour a double gin into a complete (and I mean complete) pint of Guinness? This was a well known (in certain circles) Stirrup Cup and I think the prerequisite was that you had to have already mounted..... Presumably falling off was a lot softer afterwards. I used to occasionally imbibe in my, then car(e)less youth and never got past two pints. plobably the reason I can't remmemberrdiddly squich amnymorr. Happy St Patrick's day again.
