Picked up brand new Plus 4 yesterday. Very enjoyable afternoon induction to Morgan driving - particularly enjoyed cheers from group of schoolchildren. But speedo analogue and digital readout went completely awry after an hour or so. I’m sure it will get fixed under warranty but is this a know problem? Was stoped at roundabout and speed and Analogue read out showed zero. Digital readout showed 35 mph. Cleared up later but disconcerting....

Good to hear you got the car, these antics have happened before but a dealer fix will be forthcoming.
Enjoy your miles thumbs

I think it is quite common for New Morgan's to have teething problems .My car needed a new Speedo and then spent 9 weeks back at the factory getting its paint fixed.
Crap mirrors leaky radiators etc .
But still a great car now that's it 4 years old .

Collect my brand new +4 in november 2018 at BHM we start a journey LandsEnd an back. Than she' got her first service at the BHM dealership.

At this trip where only small problems shown. All solved at the service.

Than back home 700KM in a one day trip in bad weather.

In the road my wifes words: great tourer...

Since march on the road again, great road machine. All roads.

Hi HB It does not help right now when you can still feel the pain of the cheque! But hand built cars - right or wrong - will take some debugging. But use the warranty and your dealer to the absolute max. From my own, admittedly out of date experience, they do get debugged and then tend to stay debugged.

Mentioned this in an earlier post, buying a new one far away is fine, but warranty work and servicing will be a pain if the dealer network is reduced.

You quite right, it can only get worse but as others have said once the problems are fixed they seem to be o.k. Should I have pushed my luck saying that?

I too had the pleasure of collecting a new Plus 4 110 on Tuesday. Naturally I'm delighted with the car but also have a couple of points after 300 miles I would appreciate some thoughts on.

Firstly the steering seems to have some 'stiff' areas, my first thoughts are the UJ's being stiff so I hope it will clear with use but it seems strange of a new car.

Also the engine has some issues on execration, it is not misfiring but just seems to not be linear - once agin hopefully a few miles mat help.

Is there any other known areas to keep an eye on?

I'd very much appreciate thoughts on the two points above.

Cheers
