Interested to hear which oil filter and oil most trad plus 8 owners are running, mine seems to have a Mann oil filter (fitted in the UK)
and these dont seem to be available here, though with my big Diesel work I know the company has a good reputation for filters so am wondering about ordering some from offshore?
As for the oil was going to go with Castrol magnatec... any thoughts?

Hi,

I would order the Mann filters over the internet - I purchased 5 in one go and postage is very cheap - I am sure it will be good value for you being oversea's.

I personally always try to use "Shell" products. Shell 15w40 is the correct grade for a V8.

Regards Mark

I use Mahle filters. Good product with anti drain. I use Valvoline VR 20/50. Good zinc content for this engine's tappets. This oil is also regularly used by Morgan race cars.

I use Mobil Super 2000 10/40 it's a semi synthetic - The Mann oil filter is W930/20 and I order that online £4.99 delivered hopefully you will find similar.

Valvoline 20/50 is recommended by most engine builders for the V8 (high zinc content)
