Rest assured NeilM that whenever there is no rain the Morgan will be out on the road (so that'll be 10 minutes then!)but he needs to be tucked up in the meantime.;-)

A jet wash is a bit fierce, a gentle hosing shoud be suffice. Run some 3 in 1 oil or similar aIong the piping between sills/wheel arches and body work every 3 months or so. I grease the king pins with Castrol CL grease every 400 - 600 miles, 4 or 5 strokes of the grease gun and wipe off any surplus, whilst the car is jacked up I check the front tyres for damage and touch up any flakey underseal with some black gloop containg waxoyl.

Hi Scratched, definitely grease up before hibernation.

I grease the front suspension at least once a month, effectively ever 300-500 miles.
In the first year I have gone through about 3/4 of a tub.

If you have the patience and time to get all the Waxoyl off, I'd go with Tectyl. Much better job
This was a Dave W tip which, eventually, I took on board and I've never regretted it

I recently under sealed my 4/4 using Biltong Humber aerosol. Easy to do after masking up. Dries to a nice consistency and look. Just in time for winter runs!

Thanks sospan. I wondered why google came up with nothing!

Hope your head is ok today, malt always makes mine throb but maybe that is just the Scottish type. I am ashamed to say that I had never heard of a Welsh one.

And thanks for the tip.

Bilt Humber do kits to suit cars, including rust convertor, cavity wax and bungs to plug holes, undersell wax. Also other products. I find them good and easy to use as they do aerosol versions for use if you don't have a compressor. I have gone this route as its convenient to buy aerosols for the small amount needed for a Morgan.
