Hydrogen may have just been dealt a blow with a refilling station going up in bits in Norway, I am sure it'll attract some told you so, comments from fcv haters.

Hydrogen is still the future, batteries are nothing more than a brief blip in the energy journey for vehicles .

That's my view too they are losing their way with batteries.

There are hydrogen fuelled buses in Aberdeen.

Thanks for that, what a positive and brave move, lets hope others are suitably encouraged to follow suit.

The hydrogen project in Aberdeen looks impressive. If I understand it correctly they are using wind turbines to create electricity which is then used to create hydrogen through electrolysis which is then compressed and stored for use in the busses.

Cant get much cleaner than that.

I think Iceland has a few Hydrogen busses too.
The key is splitting of the H with out using vast quantities of carbon fuels to do it.

I can see from the end user perspective that Hydrogen has a lot going for it. But from a Carbon perspective with the current technology they are at least twice as energy hostile as battery tech. No doubt future technologies will reduce the difference though. Anyone know what happened to Super Capacitors for energy storage?

I was a little bit surprised that super-capacitor hybred has not made it's way into heavy vehicle usage. The equipment is not as heavy and there is space to fit it into the lorry/bus platform. The Torque and urban benefits would seem to be very effective.
