Does anyone here have experience posting ads in the For Sale/Wanted forum? Am wondering how long it takes to see them posted. I've carefully followed the posting rules (I think) but the ad never shows up, and I don't get an error message. Tried a few times over the last couple of months, with he same result.

My add went up in a few days but then I asked to have it removed and it was never taken out.

I posted an advert nearly 2 weeks ago and it's still not appeared. I've pm'd the moderator for that part of the forum but no reply.
If anyone can help that would be great.

I noticed in the Rules it does not seem to state WHAT is possible to advertise for sale or wanted. Am I incorrect?

Listing in the for sale and wanted seems to be a constant source of friction.
Rather than a list of rules, users are left to decide the content of a post using common sense and decency, each advert is then moderated by the operator of the site.
If a member makes a financial donation to the site, the operator will review the activity of that member, then allow for any posts in the FS and W section to be pre-approved, the post will appear quickly.
I don’t use the section much, but maybe the answer would be for a member, or group of members to volunteer to administer and moderate the posts there.
I won’t be me because I don’t care about it, I wouldn’t mind if it was just deleted completely

I wouldn’t mind if it was just deleted completely Yes, I tend to agree. It brings extra work for the moderators, and would quickly fill up with spam and such if left unmoderated. It's not like the world is short of places where you can sell stuff on the internet, the MSCC site for starters.

I don't use it often but it works instantly if you are a contributor to the upkeep of the site, that seems fair enough to me for the reasons given above.
