So....same time next year? Maybe a little further down the BRP closer to Roanoke?

Roanoke itself would be worth avoiding. Floyd, VA might be a bit more interesting. Easy access to the parkway, Quaint little town, good places to eat, The Floyd inn would run just under $400 for 3 nights, but that is in line with Skyland lodge. We are just down the road in Riner with plenty of trailer parking and I could fire up the smoker for ribs and maybe smoked salmon.

For years I would have been horrified at the thought of "trailering" my motorcycle anywhere, after all I have been on two wheels in all fifty states (the drive to Hawaii was very wet). Of late, there have been a few things to go to where I did not have the time and hence the trailer.
Having said that. We have 3 acres in Riner, so plenty of parking space.
