@ OZ 4/4 we are all adults and make our own decisions. having a morgan! so either you start writing helpful and constructive solutions, or "just shut up"! this forum is about joie de vivre and positive attitude. your constant negative comments are neither helpful nor constructive. on the contrary!!! Completely agree with that !!!

I see from the photograph, which shows details of the pedals much better than by eyeball, that the whole braking torque is not taken by the tube (and weld(s) between the pedal and the m/c actuation lever. If you look at the photo, you will see that the clevis pin through the actuation lever and m/c fork, also extends into the brake pedal, thus sharing the braking load with the torque tube. Wilson https://www.tm-img.com/image/cXQ6c Wilson from your photo we can see the clutch pedal does have the clevis pin going through actuation lever & pedal. On the brake pedal the clevis pin looks to only go through the actuation lever. There is a split pin on the left of the clevis. Thus the whole brake load goes through the actuation lever & torque tube Tim Hi Tim, You are absolutely correct that the clevis pin does not carry on through the brake lever. I checked by putting a small mirror behind the brake pedal and reflected a torch onto it. My photo was a bit deceptive, as in that the end of the clevis pin was sitting hard against the RH edge of the pedal. Very strange design decision, when it would have been so easy to drill the brake pedal and use a longer clevis pin. This would have reduced the cantilever forces from the current arrangement. I am guess that the mod may be a dog leg bracket going from the RHS of the actuator lever and fixing to the brake pedal above the clevis pin. Wilson

...Normally I would have chased them up during the past week but spent the whole week sorting out the consequences of a burglary at my French house on Monday night, where I was either gassed or drugged (ketamine spray) and was quite ill afterwards for a couple of days.

Wow - wishing you a safe recovery (and justice!)...
Feeling OK now and I got off lightly. They burgled two other houses in the village and beat up an old lady to get the combination of her safe. According to the police it is a professional gang. I found rubber gloves dumped outside the house the next day. I suspect I woke up too quickly for them, as I have worn opioid patches for the last 15 years for my degenerative scoliosis and may therefore be more drug resistant than most. I woke up and needed to be ill instantly and as I went into the bathroom, I saw the outside security light flick on, which was them legging it. They could have taken a lot more, so I must be thankful for that. Bolting the stable door after the horse has bolted, I am now having more bars put on the windows and upgrading my alarm system. Thanks for the good wishes. Wilson

+1 glad you're relatively OK WIlson and I hope the old lady makes swift recovery.

Wilson, you are very fortunate to have survived since such incidents can cause heart attacks. We got a very noisy German Shepherd that woofs at anything strange and that would awaken myself which would put me into combat mode and armed accordingly. If I survived there would be a lot of paperwork to file out once the coroner and the police left!
I hope they catch those pukes and do more than slap them on the wrist saying they must have had a bad childhood.
Get well so you can enjoy the M3W.

Thanks to good work by our dealer (RTCC) getting the bits, we have today had the extra bracket/pins added to the brake pedal to fix the concern raised in the MMC message. A neat enough job that overcomes the strangeness of the original design pointed out by Wilson.
