I can add more to this. The car was indeed written off. The owner insisted on having a replacement, chassis 102.
The owner very recently passed away and a number of his cars came up for sale.
I bought 102 last month, and its been built again with the Motolita steering wheel, but this time included a Hermes clock at great expense. The car was registered in March 2010. Last one made??
I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

I was sorry to hear of David's passing. It was sudden and came as a shock to us all when we heard the news.
As Simon said, we spent a good two days driving through the Alps together after a few days in St Tropez and were shocked when we heard of Davids sudden passing.
The car lived up to it's reuptation well.

I certainly intend to use it in anger. I hope to attend the Morgan track day at Goodwood in May.
Never even driven a Morgan before, I remember wanting an Aeromax in a dark colour with red leather interior. It was a simple case of waiting. I swapped a F430 Scuderia for it. No regrets whatsoever.
This is the best car I've ever owned, finally people let me out of petrol stations!

It's a regular occurrence when I'm out in the 4/4, and almost never if I'm in Piggy (except this morning by a Range Rover CSK - although the traffic had stopped - doubt it would have happened otherwise!).
