Hi
First post from swedish enthusiast. Better warn you from the start that this project might not suite the purist. Hope that some might find it intersting anyway.
A while back I found an add for a ”replica” Morgan +8 body on fibreglass, it was a long term project that never got finished.
I bought the bits and pieces:
Bodyparts in fibreglass with original enginebonnet and a few original parts.
A new Spydercars chassi built to replace a Lotus Elan chassi.
A BMW 4 cyl driveline that I later scrapped due to weight and size issues.
The Idea was to build a roadgoing car with Lotus handling and the Classic look of a Morgan.

So after bringing the car home and testfitting the bodyparts to the chassi I realised that I could not use any of the work that had been done previosly , the rideheight was like a 4x4 and the front suspension geometry was crazy..

I made the decision to scrap the suspension , cut away the few bodymounts that where allready there and start from from nothing. I had a set of spindles from an Alfa Romeo 105 series laying around , theese were modified with a new spindleaxle and wheelhubs from a BMW E30 .
