Just had a look back at Richard's photo's of the Plus 6 at Dunston Hall and the wheel looks very much the same as Peter J's.

The Plus Six seems to use quite a few parts that have their origins in the last or the Aero Chassis cars, and is none the worse for that. Looking at photos of the "new" suspension systems launched on the S5 Aero and the later Plus 8s and comparing them with the suspension on the Plus Six they look rather similar. So I conclude that the S5 Aeros were part of the next generation development. Very logical, It should mean no surprises for the new (lucky) owners.
