The rear wing on my 1960 Plus 4 is a little bent out of shape after a close (but gentle) encounter with a tree, and has some rust beginning to bubble up under the paint.

My inclination is to have the wing fixed by a local body shop, but they haven't dismantled a Morgan before. I'm guessing that a new wing might be challenging to fit. What to do?

I'm thinking that having the old wing fixed is the way to go. Should I find a more Morgan-friendly body shop?

I'm refitting a rear bumper to ensure this doesn't happen again!

Would they need to dismantle ? How deep into the metal is the rust ? Any pics may help.

Rear wings are dead easy to remove and repair. Just grind off all the bolts and pull it free. When you replace use threaded insert nuts like these glued into the wood, it's how the factory does it these days
