MMC have just appointed Ann Widdecombe as a non exec European Export Advisor
That should boost sales
I'd have thought that there are already enough demented old people driving Morgans. They'd do better to get someone who might encourage younger buyers

I notice that Morgan has already Brexited. The demo cars are not fitted with EU GB plates. MMC have just appointed Ann Widdecombe as a non exec European Export Advisor That should boost sales That's hardly fair......Bill Brewer expected to get that job.

In the reviews Jon it looks noticeably shorter than a trad or Aero chassis, is it in the metal ? I've looked at it a few times now, and it doesn't look much different to me, apart from the larger wheels possibly making it look slightly "chunkier"! In fact, it looks just like one of the 4.8 Plus 8s, apart from the different doors, and the side vent on the bonnet.

I've looked at it a few times now, and it doesn't look much different to me, apart from the larger wheels possibly making it look slightly "chunkier"! In fact, it looks just like one of the 4.8 Plus 8s, apart from the different doors, and the side vent on the bonnet. Using MMC's figures, It is 260mm shorter than the Plus 8 and 210mm shorter than the +4, including bumpers. It is 44mm narrower than the Plus 8 but 126mm wider than the +4 So shorter but a bit wider than the old trads, quite a bit smaller than the Plus 8. Lighter than the +8, but heavier than the +4 (972kg)

surprised it’s shorter than a +4.
explains the more purposeful and chunkier stance.

The body seems to be wider for more room Inside. And the wings are quite narrow. The proportions make the car look a little bit strange. Compare it to a roadster or a +4 with wide Wings. They look much, much better and coherent.

I very much like the shape of the wings seen from the front on the start photo of the Top Gear article of the new Plus 6. Very dynamic. But yes she looks a bit stocky. Nevertheless I like what I see in the photos. But I must also say that the aesthetics of my 4/4 stand up to any comparison with a "new" Trad shape. That was already the case with the new Plus 8 in my view. Let us see how a new interpretation of a Morgan could look on this new platform.
As the TG article says, it's very understandable that Morgan starts with the traditional design. But a really new Morgan is a great opportunity for MMC.
