100% better than the Chris Harris / Matt LeBlanc period.
Still superficial fluff, but harmless entertainment based about cars.

You would have hit the nail firmly on the head if you had added Chris Evans name.
TG is an entertainment programme loosely based around cars and as such the relationship between the presenters is key. These three, on the basis of one programme, seem to get along and personally I found it amusing and will make an effort to watch it if I’m in with nothing better to do

For me, same old same old. Switched off after the fist 15 mins. I would rather site in the garden and watch the grass grow.

I've been gloss painting today (my least favourite task) and it was just as entertaining but a lot more fruitful, I won't bother watching next week.

I am a little surprised by the respondents who did not enjoy it. It made me and SWMBO laugh out loud?

What other car programme is there on TV that is honestly better today (forget historic's with Chris Evans and to some degree Clarkson) than TG?

When do you see McLarens and Fezzers tested or even featured on TV at all?

Finally - what if TG test the new Morgan and love it smirk2
it will "do" more for Morgan than any other marketing I can think of?

Mark

David,
Oh yes, well spotted. Instead of an additional "E" I could have omitted an "H" !!!
Not withstanding my dire tying skills, I'm still bored with TG. For me, I find the American programmes more entertaining but of course in time they will also become boring in turn.

+1, I'm with Mark on this one, it would be interesting to see if MMC could get a +6 to Chris Harris

Got bored after 15 minutes!

The days of TG are long gone... like them or leave them, the team of JC, RH and JM had 'chemistry'... and that added a huge amount to the show.

Anyway, I am sure CH will test the +6 separately on his own review site... :>)

It was better than I expected. Freddy is a bit wooden, but has potential. I didn't see more than a couple of episodes of the last series, but this one isn't bad, if nowhere near the early originals.

Because remember that TG got stupid towards the end with Clarkson and crew.

+1 I think that is the problem that we all remember when the trio were entertaining around 10 years ago and we are always comparing them. This current effort is dire.
Maybe we and the BBC need to let go of the whole Top Gear idea and get a bit more creative about a new programme.

I'll bet it won't be long before Chris Harris gets hold of a Plus 6 - his opinion will be interesting he just loved the Aero 8 on his trip to Geneva.
