I have just returned from MOG 19, where i purchased a pair of stone guards for my 1994 4/4, they came with six stainless clips ,each with a small hole in one end there were no instructions ,i removed the light rim but cant see how it is fitted .Has anyone any ideas . Bye the way Mog 19 at Dunston hall was realy good with a good turnout of Morgans .

The clips are attached to the existing THREE small brass screws on the rim of the bucket, the clip 'tounges' face out and the chrome headlamp rim goes outside the clips, and the clips fit inside the mesh rim, the fitting can be a bit fiddley positioning the mesh to conform with the clips and the angle of the mesh.

If possible try to fold over and entrap the mesh rim on at least one fixing (preferably the bottom one) so it cannot fly off.

I have had a couple of sets of these and found they can rust even if they claim to be stainless, so especially on the chrome ones I would spray the insides of the mesh with smooth silver hanmmerite, you cant see it and makes a lot of difference.

Sarnia, As JBK says, they are very fiddly to get just right, so much so that after many tries I just gave up. They make cleaning the headlamp a bit of a chore as well.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

I too can concur on the fiddly-ness of the installation!
They are the first mod I have done to the Moggie. I ordered them on ebay and waited patiently for their arrival. 10 days later they arrived.
My case however was particularly frustrating as I managed to loose one of the clips in the original set that came form ebay and had to order a new set as no one could send me just a couple of clips.
So 10 more days of wait... (postage time from the uk to Italy). Anyway I finally got them and they are now installed!
