I think the thought of having it as a family heirloom with character is superb. My dad isn't remotely interested in anything car related, never has been, but my two boys are well on the way to being petrolheads.
To think that these things are in the family for generations is priceless, so well done you.

Thank you everyone for your advise and comments. I spoke with Kevin Vernon this morning and it turns out he knows my Dad quite well from the local Morgan club. He’s coming next week to do a valuation. Thanks again. Oh, and I may well be a regular on here as I think I’ve decided to keep it and get it restored to mint condition. Top man That's great news Jamie. Hope you have many happy (s)miles in the car and that you can get to some of the events held all over the country

Good to hear Jamie. Please post some pictures of the car. You will enjoy the grin when you drive it, but beware it is a bug.

Good news, looking forward to seeing you around on here once things are more settled for you. I'm sure your Dad would be happy about your decision it's a great connection.

If its for probate then I would get a local second hand car dealer to give you a part ex price - after all you dont want the highest possible value for tax do you. Maybe even get the local scrappie if the car isnt roadworthy at the moment. Hello,
I am new to the forum and I would like to ask for a little help and advise please.
My Father has always had Morgans, mainly Plus 4’s and 8’s. Sadly my Father passed away a few weeks ago and I am currently in the middle of sorting out his estate.
Unbeknown to me, he has a 1986 4/4 in the garage which needs to be valued for the purposes of probate.
Does anyone have any reccomendations for a reputable dealer or specialist that could provide a valuation in the north Shropshire area?
I have spoken with a few dealers in Reading etc but I would need to get the vehicle to them.
As I say, any help would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks.
Jamie
