I presume this mod is only for the Centa coupling equipped cars, but what if like me you are on the original Harley type compensator.
Which to be fair is running like a dream so far with 16k miles and plenty of JCB high pressure grease. From what I understand, it appears that all the parts are new. You would also need to have the new style bolt on rotor as the hub gets replaced with a new one and the rotor bolts to that like the Centa unit does. I believe it will probably be a bit cheaper than the Centa unit.

Yes, but I would wait and see if it survives a full racing season of use before placing an order.
It’s next test session will be the Loton Park hillclimb this weekend. A good chance for UK owners to come have a look to see how it performs 🏁

Some photos of the KH compensator from Rob. I assume these were taken during trial fits. He says it is very smooth and he has had no problems with it so far. He is doing his best to give it a hard time with some track work with the big bore S&S engine. It has lasted better than the Centa unit as that was destroyed in about 100 miles of use. Good to see some real world trials going on.
hm, from my understanding that is a complete rigid connection between crank and clutch, except the BMW rubber damping element also used in the harley compensator solution from MMC. Todo so you simply has to replace the Harley compensator in that solution, by a compensator eliminiator , parts cost around 100$. Thorsten

Thorsten The Krazy Horse coupling is much heavier duty than the original Jurid coupling used with the Harley compensator. As I understand it, the purpose of the compensator is not so much about smooth running but to protect the gearbox from the massive S&S torque spikes. So although locking the Harley compensator may work there is a longer term risk to the gearbox. Rob, was it a standard Centa you destroyed within 100 miles or a modified version?

don't think so , what I'd found on my 2012 M3W harley compensator was excactly the same BMW part as shown in the pictures here ... May be it was always replaced by an earlier owner ...

The original Harley M3W compensator used the BMW type isolator as shown in the KH version. But as I said early on, there is NO torsional rotation wind up in it, it's basically direct drive. Where as the LoveJoy coupling still allows for rotational wind up and in my opinion be a better option over the BMW type hard coupling. But time will tell as Rob gets some very hard track miles on his KH conversion. I thought similar things about Phil's almost solid inserts, but with a bit of holes here and there, I think he's got just enough wind up to maintain some reduction in torque pulses to the trans. Grab your popcorn, sit back and relax. Let's see how it all works out.
