Tomorrow is a massive day of sport for me
Can’t wait
I shall watch the start of the cricket, I’m then playing tennis at David Lloyd at 1pm (I’ll take the Mog of course) where I will finish just in time to watch the first 10 mins of F1 at the Gym
Race back home, have the F1 in one room and the cricket on the other and keep an eye on the tennis

I shall watch the F1 ( of course ) on Saturday then the highlights on Sunday evening as we are on a rally with the Mog all day Sunday which is preferred way to spend the day. That's the spirit. Always better to participate in motor sport than to watch it on the small screen. I missed the best GP in years (the Austrian of two weeks ago) but that's ok because I was enjoying a major Alpine outing in the Mog. Silverstone shaping up to be a good race tomorrow.

With my amazing hindsight I can tell you without any doubt that the Cricket match was your best option.

With my amazing hindsight I can tell you without any doubt that the Cricket match was your best option. It absolutely was. We watched it from start to finish, the tensest and most gripping sporting event I've ever witnessed. I've never been so grateful for beta-blockers.

I went for Stewart’s approach and watched the Tennis and the Cricket concurrently. Both amazing.
Honours really were even in both matches. I felt humbled by the good sportsmanship of the New Zealand team in the face of such a crushing disappointment.
As for Jacob Rees Mogg’s tweet about the cricket proving that England don’t need Europe to be winners, what a total moron he is. It proved he knows so little about it that he is unaware that Eoin Morgan is Irish, or else he might have held back from making his pathetic Brextremist point.

What a day... The Cricket was simply wonderful, both teams at the top of their game: sad that one side had to lose.....delighted it was Englands win. As Ian said, thank goodness for Beta-Blockers!! The GP was one of the better races, Silverstone excelled its self and LH showed himself to be the master of his craft he is. How he pulled a fastest lap on the last lap with worn hard tyres I have no idea. Nor, based on an interview in the Telegraph, did Toto! Back to the real world...

Somehow I didn't get this gene.
I have no interest in sport across the board.
F1? At one time, but these days too predictable. I had it on in the background because it was Silverstone, but it was hardly gripping.
Just saying.....

Dave, Oh how could you??? I know F1 is usually a procession but, apart from the inevitable MB 1,2, this was a cracker of a race with the young guns showing how good it can be with loads of hard but fair racing all down the field. A slightly sad thing was seeing the coming together of Max and Seb. Are we now seeing the terminal decline of a once great champion? As he now has a family, should he retire and enjoy his money immediately to save the embarrassing sight of his failures.?
The Cricket, wow, it was brilliant, even the Memsahib watched it and she hasn't got a clue. I loved the sight of the fanbase in Trafalgar Square, we saw the best of the English at play. A wonderful sight and long may it continue, it may be we have all forgotten the "B" word in light of all this fun.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

I was persuaded to watch the one live F1 of the year and am glad I did, Lewis as you say proving conclusively that he is something very special "on the track". Le Clerc and Verstappen drove brilliantly and Vettel once again proving what a sore loser he is by crashing into the back of Max, at this level it was not an accident. Unless the ball is oval I don't watch but the cricket was unprecedented I read so well done England/Britain or whatever the PC brigade are calling them these days.

Quite right. Given the origins of the majority of the team members, this cant honestly be described as an England Team. I reckon we should go back to the Yorkshire County approach of old. Not born there? Cant play!
