Peter, I work in the "paintwork" industry - for a vehicle manufacturer. I would definitely think twice about using a "chips away" type of company!
MG Cannon - who you mentioned (are approved by us) - will do a good job for you as they will blend the paint within the rear wing and then clear coat the whole panel...this is the correct way to complete this job.
I am not blowing smoke...however, as your car is valuable - it does need doing correctly..I know you would not except anything poor mechanically...don't then when it comes to bodywork?

On a recent trip to Spain I came back to the car park where we had left Henrietta to find a load of people sitting on her wings having their photos taken. They got very disgruntled when we asked them to move. Found a couple of dents in the wing but I can't say have they happened. B******s

Aaaaawwwww ruddy heck Peter! That ain’t nice. Hurt them Peter, hurt them. Make them cry like babies. We will all help!!!!! I’ll borrow some shoulder pads to look really ‘ard and put a tattoo transfer on my arm (weedy though it may be).
Joking aside I would be pretty hacked off at the selfishness of people. I know it’s only a material thing but....
Feel the frustration even though you are v calm. Admittedly I am pretty ggggrrrry anyway having been let down for the last two week by a tradesman from our village who broke our toilet, never apologised and then never turned up to fix it last night when he promised. Anyway, enough about me....

My front wing and bumper got smacked by an idiot in a car park 3 weeks ago near to home whist I was eating lunch. He got seen and came to find me. Superform wing dented and distorted and bumper pushed in to wing. Getting sorted whilst I am away in August/September. It was a massive car park with just 3 cars. Idiots insurance paying for a replacement wing.
