Forgot to say that my trip is all sorted out now too. My clashing event is still too close to allow a normal Monday UK departure with the convoy, so I will leave on a Tunnel on Tues 3rd Sep and stop over in Langres en-route, meeting up in Grindelwald on Weds with you lot. A change of hotel for me this year as I will try the Tschuggen with its parking, just up the road from the K&P etc. I leave Sun 8th for a dash home via Spa to meet up with some friends. Looking forward to it.

And for Heaven's sake and for the sanity of the entire Planet, please, please, please make the poxy sun shine this year eh!!

Here is some further detail on the planned routes to and from Grindelwald.

The Google map links are for info and the times and distances are based on Garmin routes. I’ll add some potential lunch stops into the GPX routes and circulate these nearer the time.

For a few of the days there are alternative routes which we can pick on the day.

As we will be a fairly large group going out we may well split up. Some of the group may prefer an early start to allow getting to the destination in time for some sightseeing, whereas others might prefer a more leisurely departure. We can decide nearer the time how this will work.

Don’t forget to order a Swiss Motorway Vignette (£32.00 and select free postage to UK): https://switzerlandtravelcentre.co.uk/excursion/motorway-vignette-switzerland/

For Triberg to Fiss you will also require an Austria vignette - €9.20 for a 10 day pass from https://shop.asfinag.at/en/

Thursday 29th August, Eurotunnel to Ibis Dinant:

Sunday 1st September, Triberg to Alps Lodge Fiss:

Monday 2nd, Fiss to Rezia Bormio, via Stelvio pass:

Thanks for the info and all the work on the routes, looks excellent. I will certainly buy an Austrian Vignette as well as a Swiss one this year, much cheaper than the fine!

Hi Max,

Of course, it'll be great to have you along smile.

For the Jungfrau-Treffen you should register on the website and/or contact Laurens who is the organser. http://www.m3w-jungfrau-treffen.com/

If you want to join the UK convoy that would be cool. You'll need to make your own hotel bookings and just let me knw where you would be joining so we can look out for you. wine
