get plastic windscreen cleaner from your local HD shop... DO NOT use windex

Hey, I discovered another downside of the windscreen. Well not as much of a downside but an observation.
You folks with dark colored M3W will probably not notice it but the glare onto the windscreen from the cowl/dashboard top edges put a glare up onto the windscreen right in my field of view. There is also a glare from the turn signal stalk.

So, as a test I took some scrap vinyl I had and put it on the offending area. It worked very well and will be done by a professional all across the area from one side of the windscreen to the opposite side. The stalk will get some heat shrink tube on it.

I wonder if you ever did the Vinyl dash mod? I have the same issue with glare, coming off my gloss black dash.

I have not yet done it because I have been sick with a terrible cold. I suspect when I get out more this late spring I will take it over to the vinyl shop and get it done in matt black or faux carbon fiber. If I use the same carbon fiber wrap that I put on my heat shields it would fit into the cars color scheme better.

Ya, been coughing for 6 weeks... my doc says it a cold but I can tell you it the worst chest cold in 30 years, and it started in my chest! Now i am getting better but it has been a long trip.

earlier this year we saw several colds like that in our office. cough hung on and on. My wife (healthy as can be) got it from the grandkids. She gave it to me and I was better in a week, she coughed for weeks and weeks. She complained about it to me and I told her she should see her doctor!

Me first and my wife second. She is almost 100% recovered and I am at 80%. It was a nasty bug.
