I run Shell V-Power 99RON. Best I have seen was a long motorway run (20 miles+) at 60MPH constant was 30MPG, normally no more than 27 no less than 24 frown

Car leaves a large splatter on unburnt fuel when cold, I wonder where Morgan get the combined of 40MPG from?

I am looking at getting a custom map done next when my bank balance recovers

The early GDI's had an issue with the ECU which they had a recall. My 2014 GDI had this problem and had to go back to the dealers for an upgrade/patch if I remember.
My current 2017 +4 does mid 40's on motorway runs.

My 2016 Plus 4 was doing similar mileage in the early days, but I had it remapped and now average 36. The recent run back from MOG19 was nearer 40mpg.

Sorry chaps, I don't measure it. When the super reliable fuel gauge (!!!) says fill me I do however it must be around 40mpg which I think is brilliant when you build in the fun factor.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

I can't comment in terms of miles per gallon but in clubsport tune and on track in the challenge series we are managing a very respectable 0.7 - 1 litres per minute.

Which with my very rough maths for Brands Hatch works out around 1l/ 2 km.

It does put a smile on your face though. laugh2

Hi Alan

Where did you get the remap done? What was the cost etc?

As a side question was you power and torque figures afterwards?

Well since having my manifold changed to a Librands sports one things have improved.

On a long run today I saw 44MPG and didn't drop below 41. The car is still rich but a custom map should solve that.

It shows how bad the standard manifold was on my car then!

That's very interesting. I would love to get anywhere near 40!

Interesting, I've covered 1,600 miles in my new Plus4 GDI since I collected it early May. A mixture of long runs at 60-70mph, country lanes and a couple of hundred miles of short trips around town and locally. I use normal unleaded and calculate mpg fill to fill. So far it has been averaging 36.5mpg which seems pretty good to me. I spend a fair bit of time in our powerboat around Poole and with a 300hp outboard we are lucky if we get 2.5mpg ......
