Coast to Coast in a Morgan
Last weekend five cars enjoyed the weather and drove Coast to Coast from Whitehaven to Whitby. These are a few of the shots taken over the weekend.

Lovely! I've stood on that bit of pavement in Grosmont. Didn't have a nice set of Mogs to photograph at the time though...

That looks a great trip and easily manageable. As this was a side to side trip perhaps there should be an end to end trip ....lets say Dover to Hebrides, just an idea

The idea arose following an end to end drive last year, from Lands End to John O'Groats in 30 hours, no motorways. That trip was one car, two drivers, and we did it in the week following Buxton. Seemed like a good idea to drive Coast to Coast and as you said it was a great trip and easily manageable. Taking in a few diversions to enjoy the roads the total journey was just over 200 miles. (The Grosmont photos are actually on the way home again on Sunday). Thanks for the kind comments Malcolm T

The post from dogmanjack about Britain's best drives reminded me of these shots from last year in Yorkshire

Where is that ford? It looks like a great drive. What was the route?

Where is that ford? It looks like a great drive. What was the route? That's got me thinking, It was either on the lanes route from Grosmont to Goathland, or on the lanes out of Goathland. Embarrassed that I can't remember, especially since that was where I discovered that my overheating was because I'd reconnected the radiator fan wires back to front! Malcolm T
